Summary
NFT Gallery is a dynamic NFT marketplace aiming to empower creators and connect them with collectors in a vibrant digital ecosystem. The goal was to redesign the marketplace to improve navigation, user engagement, and creator visibility while ensuring the platform appeals to both seasoned NFT enthusiasts and newcomers.
The Challenge
The previous design of the NFT marketplace faced several challenges that hindered its potential:
navigation issues: users struggled to explore and discover NFTs effectively, leading to a 20% higher bounce rate compared to industry benchmarks.
low engagement: cluttered interfaces and lack of personalization resulted in fewer transactions and low time spent on the platform, averaging 4.5 minutes per session.
barrier for new users: complex onboarding processes contributed to 40% drop-off rates during wallet setup and NFT purchasing.
I conducted interviews with 10 collectors and creators, complemented by analytics reviews and heuristic evaluation. Key findings included:
75% of users preferred category-based navigation and better search filters.
Creators wanted a dashboard to manage collections, track sales, and gain performance insights.
Over 60% of new users cited onboarding as a major hurdle to adoption.
Ideation and Execution
Based on research insights, I developed a design direction, emphasizing improved navigation, better onboarding, and enhanced creator tools. Prototypes were tested to refine the final direction.
